Standing on the forest floor in the dappled sunlight of a bright summer’s day, guests squint and shield their eyes as they look towards the treetops. Swinging above them, attached by snug harnesses and sturdy clips, are a few fellow guests who have taken on the ropes course at CMH Bobbie Burns.

Strung between towering trees just a short walk from the lodge is a series of enticing obstacles of varying levels winding their way through the forest. The course wraps around and gains in height from an initial lower level to an impressive 30ft in height, consisting of elements such as swinging step bridges and suspended logs, to a skateboard pulley mid-air.

Occasionally offered as an après hike activity at the end of the day, the course is perfect for those with enough energy left in their legs!

So, would you do it?
